Sony Xperia SL: Overview of SL's main features

Sony Mobile's Xperia smartphone series is starting to confuse me - Are you going to use only alphabets for name for everything else too? I love the name 'iPhone 5' or 'Samsung S3' or 'Nokia Lumia 920' (man, I love the name 'Lumia'). Sony isn't relenting on Xperia, however, and has now brought in the Sony Xperia SL - another HD, fast android smart phone that is banking on its HD functionality and high photo imaging features promised by its big 12 Megapixel camera. The SL is said to be certified as having the sharpest HD display of the entire Xperia series smartphones.

The Xperia SL has brought back the original WALKMAN app. I'm thinking that the sudden interest in old classics like the Sony Ericsson Walkman w995 forced Sony to incorporate popular features in the more advanced android models. The Xperia SL comes in the colors pearl, black, pink and white.

For starters, the Xperia SL has High-Definition 4,3” Reality Display which is pushed by Mobile BRAVIA Engine. According to Sony Mobile the Xperia SL's HD screen has the highest pixels per inch (PPI) of any Sony smartphone to date and is certified as the sharpest+ HD smartphone display. You can capture videos all in full HD video (or click still images from your videos). Just download Sony’s Frame Grabber app from Google PLAY and you are on.

Another cool thing about the Xperia SL is the mobile device's super fast dual core 1.7 GHz processor. The latest version of the Xperia Android is so fast you need no longer have to face the inconvnience of typing in password locker - just use your face. The imaging is so fast with the dual core 1.7. Thats why you can, video chat man -  You can also chat face-to-face with your girlfriend via the Xperia SL’s HD front-facing camera, cool na?

The new Sony WALKMAN app a small upgrade of the original Walkman makes its presence felt in the Xperia XL. There is a manual equalizer, surround sound and an intuitive user interface. You can also share your music files by the wireless One-touch Listening and listen on NFC speakers.

Another feature of interest in the Xperia SL is the functionality it offer users to view photos and videos on a big screen - one has to simple swipe the display to watch it all on a tablet, TV or laptop via DLNA. Alternatively, users can simply plug the smartphone into a HDTV’s HDMI port to view the images and videos.

Now here's the on spec that yopu have been wiating for: The camera. kThe Sony Xperia SL comes with a big 12 megapixel fast capture camera. Accoridng to Sony, the shutter is sleep-to-snap of in just one second. Also in low lighit, yopu can take lighter images with the Xperia XL's Exmor R™ cell phone camera sensors to 'lighten up any gloomy day.' Oh, there is the photo app Instagram and other photo effects.

Apple to reportedly stop supporting 32-bit apps with iOS 11

In a bid to remove problem apps and to focus on quality, Apple will stop supporting 32-bit apps with the release of iOS 11 later this year, meaning that many legacy applications will no longer function at all. "Starting with iOS 10.3, Apple has started alerting users when they open a 32-bit app on iOS. The pop up notification reads that the app must be updated by the developer or else it may not work with future versions of iOS," tech website 9to5mac.com reported on Monday. The tech giant started supporting 64-bit applications with the launch of the iPhone 5s in September 2013. The company also asked developers to submit new apps with 64-bit support since February 2015 and app updates starting June 2015. Last month, Apple has officially released iOS 10.3 update that has major updates regarding its newly launched AirPods, WiFi calling and SiriKit. Other minor updates include new security features and a new cloud section under the Apple ID Settings menu. The new section shows ...
