Motorola RAZR in India priced Rs. 33, 990, Not bad!

(See Best Price and MRP of Motorola RAZR in India and US price here)

Well, Indian mobile phone lovers, rejoice for the Motorola RAZR - not for the hefty India price of Rs. 33, 990. Motorola has officially launched the Motorola RAZR in India. I think any sensible mobile phone user would agree that the price is higher than the India Gate but Motorola's latest mobile phone for India is definitely good good news. Another reason? the Motorola RAZR is the thinnest Android Smartphone yet and is equipped with a powerful 1.2GHz Dual Core Processor and a storage of 1GB RAM

Here is an overview of the top-segment Motorola RAZR

Top Features/Specs:
  • Motorola RAZR comes with a giant 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) Super AMOLED hyper-vibrant display. It is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor.
  • The mobile phone functions on Android Gingerbread 2.3.5.
  • Probably the first Android phone with a microSIM card
  • 8MP rear camera with 1080p HD video capture and image stabilization
  • Front-facing HD camera,
  • Bluetooth 4.0,
  • Wi-Fi,
  • 1GB RAM,
  • 16 GB on board storage
  • 16 GB microSD card pre-installed
  • Powerful 1780 mAh battery.
  • Motorola MotoCast app that allows users to stream or download content from PC straight into the phone device
  • Smart Actions app for automating everyday tasks and enable better battery life. For example the phone would auto-turn down the ringer when you are working you step into work, change the Bluetooth and GPS settings to save battery, or send a text to someone if you miss their call.
Built

Motorola RAZR is thinner that the previously 'thinnest' mobile phone the Samsung Galaxy S2. The RAZR is 7.1 mm in thickness. This is about 1.5mm slimmer than the the Samsung Galaxy S2.

No Removable battery (inbuilt)

Motorola RAZR is built of KEVLAR fiber (well, that's tough isn't it? Its the same material bullet proof vests are made of).

Motorola RAZR is now available in India in select stores (I think they would be in Chennai Delhi and Kolkata, Mumbai. Check the stores near you) although some online stores are already selling it online. The India price is (best buy) Rs. 33,990  while the Maximum Retail Price is Rs. 35,990.

Also, I though to just mention the US price. The US price of the Motorola RAZR is approximately $655.56 (which is cheaper I say. In Indian money it comes to only around Rs.29, 500. Just note here that the mobile phone is pricier in India because of the import charges and taxes.

How mobile phones are changing human communication

Mobile technology has undergone a rapid and transformative evolution since its inception. From the cumbersome devices of the past to the sleek, powerful smartphones of today, mobile phones have reshaped the way we communicate, work, and interact with the world around us. The story of the journey of mobile phones is anything but tedious — an understatement unto itself.   A casual examination of the key moments in their history, the influential companies that shaped their trajectory, their impact on human communication, and what the future holds for these indispensable gadgets, will offer a clearer picture of the value that mobile technology has brought to people, commerce and technology the way we used to.   The roots of mobile phones can be traced back to the mid-20th century when the first rudimentary mobile communication devices were developed. The Motorola DynaTAC, introduced in 1983, marked a significant milestone as the first commercially available mobile phone. ...

The only UC Browser version that works on Samsung Wave 525 (Bada OS)

It's been about 4 years since the Samsung Wave 525 was launched. When it came out in 2010, it was one of the best mid-segment "smartphones" that hit the market. How many momentous, technologically-superior smartphones have come and gone since the Bada OS Wave?  The 525 must now feel like a dinosaur - and it is. In terms of its web browser, the most troublesome dinosaur ever. Prior to using the Samsung Wave, I'd used several other phones and none gave me any problem when using the internet as did the 525.  Browsing experience had never been so much a problem unlike the one the 525 gave me since i bought it three years ago. The various versions of UC Browser , a nifty little mobile browser that was touted to be the "fastest browser" for mobile phones that time, was the choice of wave 525 users. The only problem? In a world where every app and gadget was either android or windows, none worked for Bada OS (Samsung's own operating system). The Sams...
