Overview of Sony Xperia T: The "Xperia Camera"

MPs, HDs, Specifications and all the phone jazz   A casual review of Sony Mobile’s new smartphone the touch screen, camera-heavy Xperia T will tell you that the device was built to be a camera and not so much a phone. Of course, the usual technological soup-ups are there: HD display, a big 4.55 touch screen, scratch-resistant LCD, internal 16GB storage and expandable memory of 32GB microSD and something called 16 million colors in 1280 x 720 pixels. But that’s not the whole point though. What’s the point? Read on, dude.  Sony Xperia T has been launched not with the promise of another high-end android calibration in its already long line of Xperia series. The device has come to the market with the credit of being more of a camera phone than a phone with a camera. Judging by the whole HD peddling, I’m assuming that the Xperia T is actually a camera with an inbuilt phone and not a mobile phone with an inbuilt camera. Here is why: The Android 4.0 Xperia T comes with a 4.55″ display wi

Samsung Galaxy S3 phone cases, flip covers and 'Wallets': The Choices

Phone covers, flip-cases or the flip-case/wallet combinations for the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone are the 'in' products currently. It's funny because I come from a generation that thinks flip cases/covers for mobile phones are everything but essential accessories. Yet, when I think of the advancing, sudden wave of interest in phone covers and flip cases, the Galaxy S3 (or Samsung S III) seems to have won over reviews. There are quite a lot of flip-cases/wallet-design covers for the Samsung Galaxy S. I mean not many people  are feverishly looking for Sony Xperia phone cases or Nokia Lumia wallet covers  but for the Samsung S3 and the SII, their users seem to be shopping for one.  Maybe there is a psychology of perception in involved here: The Samsung Galaxy S has a more streamlined, sleeker and yes, much slimmer (visually at least) design that the current iPhone and Xperia lot which I believe gives it a vulnerable look. Or something. So maybe Galaxy users tend t

Overview of Sony Xperia ion: Adroit Android

A casual review of the Xperia ion - Sony Mobile's latest member of the Android-based Xperia smartphone series - shouts PREMIUM in many a way. The smartphone seems to be big in specs, design (oh well, frankly all the Xperias seem to look pretty similar to me) and big in space. Storage I mean. The Xperia ion was launched in India Tuesday, August 21 and it is generating quite a lot of interest - mainly because of its 12 Megapixel, HD, fast and front-facing camera, I suppose. But there are a lot more to this new Xperia member than its looks. Lets have a look at what the mobile device has for us. Sony Xperia ion The Xperia ion is a premium HD Android smartphone boasting of a not-so-small 4.6” touchscreen screen and comes in two colors, black and red. The HD capability of the ion gives you HD experience when you watch movies, TV shows or even your own videos in crisp, no-jagged-edges, razor sharp clarity in a 4.6” HD Reality Display. With light-reflection features, images stay c

An Overview of BlackBerry Curve 9380 'Touch'

The BlackBerry Curve 9380 is Research in Motion's (RIM) 'pioneering' smartphone - its touchscreen. An overview of the mobile device will give you an idea about what the androids and whimsical users' needs have created. I mean the Blackberry Curve 9380 is touchscreen. Who would have thought that the stiff upper-lipped BlackBerry would open it doors to cool. I'm still a huge fan of Sony Ericsson but the first touchscreen from BlackBerry has got me drolling all over. The whole deal about the Curve 9380 is not so much for the tech and specs (and the touch 9380 comes with tons of them!) but the idea of having a Blackberry that's actually full touchscreen! Man. That's sweet. But start using this awesome piece of mobile device and you forget the touchscreen bit - you actually start enjoying it. The reasons are simple: touchscreen mobile phones are mega big time cool, they are in and cool again. Hmm okay, that explains it. So what makes the Blackberry 9380 so spec

Overview of Sony Ericsson xperia x10 (Mini & Pro): Little Powerhouse

The user-friendly Sony's Ericsson xperia x10 (Mini and Pro) is one of the now-about 23 models in the popular Xperia series. The middle-high Android smartphone Xperia x10 has two segments - the Xperia x10 Mini (smartphone) and the Xperia 10 Mini Pro.  This touchscreen series is probably one of Sony Ericsson's fairly more user-friendly models, besides its High-Definition (or 'HD') capabilities adding to the device's popularity.  The two Xperia x10 devices are Android Multimedia smartphones that have their market-pulling factor in their HD image and video capture capabilities. For instance, the x10s can record videos in HD quality, aided faithfully by a 8.1 megapixel camera to boot. The 10.2 cm (4") scratch-resistant touchscreen offering 65, 000 colors, 480 x 854 pixels (WVGA) are responsible for producing highly-defined, clear video and 'razor-sharp' images. Viewing the images or videos in the X10s' big touchscreen makes the phones an even more zany

Overview of Sony Ericsson W995: The Little Walkman

The Sony Ericsson w995 Walkman is a relic from the glorious collaboration of Sony Corp and Ericsson. Yet, the  'Walkman' slider phone, released in 2009, remains one of the most popular mobile phones in the market today. An overview of the phone will give us amble reasons why even mobile phone reviewers still cannot beat the little device down, even in this age of the Xperias and the iPhones. Here is an overview of the  main features and specifications of this hardy little Sony Ericsson flagship phone. Overview: The Sony Ericsson w995 is a "Walkman" Slider phone. When it was released in 2009, the device offered probably three of then-biggest features to mobile phone users - a then-unheard of 8.1 Megapixel camera, 8GB Memory Card and 3G - one of the first pre-3G era phones that came with a 3G network band. My guess on the reasons for the phone's popularity is users' relentless hunger for big MP cameras. Only high-ends such as the Xperias, the Nokia Lumias and

Asha 311 Full Specifications and Features

Nokia's Asha 311 mobile smartphone appears set to be a big seller thanks to its a-bit-higher-than-upper-middle-segment specs and features. For once Nokia has woken up to the fact that users need not tolerate all those stupid mass market gadgets the company feeds mobile phone users. Thankfully, this time, the Asha 311 is offering a "superfast" gaming experience with a 1GHz processor. And I guess that specification sounds good enough because the phone comes with 40 EA mobile games free. Not bad, I say. The list of features is quite extensive so just in case you are too lazy to scroll up and down just press Ctrl and F key at the same time and type your search item into the search box that appears. For example if you want to go to the Music specs section, press the Ctrl and F key at the same time and type "Music" in the box and you'll come to the 'Music' section of the mobile phone's specifications here.  By the way the Nokia Asha 311 has 3G.
