Can you believe it? You’re looking at about a third of the specifications for the yet-unreleased Motorola Droid 4! No, I didn’t do anything crazy to get the specs of this must-anticipated mobile phone. I found a screenshot on a website showing the Motorola Droid 4’s specifications. The screen shot was a leaked spec sheet from Droid-Life. Oh la!   Here, let me introduce you to the Droid 4. The Motorola Droid 4 is expected to be launched by Verizon during December 2011. According to murmurs across the mobile phone world, the Droid 4 is understood to be a set with a 4-inch (960 x 540 pixels) TFT display, at least a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and yes, a 5-row slide out keyboard. The specs also show that the Smartphone has a 4G LTE, 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording at 30 fps; a LED flash and a front video-calling camera. The first Nokia Windows Phone previously available in limited stores would be available from December 1 in the United Kingdom. Retailers have announced that SIM -Free / Unlocked units of the Lumia 800 would be ready for retail from December 1 in the UK. The Nokia Lumia 800 is priced at about 369 British pounds ($575 USD/ IND Rs.30, 000). Pre-orders are currently underway.  The handset is expected to be launched in India also during December.

HSBC has launched a 90% LTV two-year discount deal at 3.84%, with no fee. Interestingly the group has also launched a 60% LTV 2.39% lifetime tracker at 2.89% with a £999 booking fee and a 3.28% five-year-fixed with a £1,999 booking fee. According to a Mortgagestrategy's report by Natalia Thomas , the head of communications at Trinity Financial Group Aaron Strutt said the new rate might be low but may not offer the security many first-time buyers are seeking. The offer is the bank's first ever sub-four per cent interest rate for mortgage borrowers with a ten per cent deposit. It means that for the two-year discount period house buyers will be paying just 3.84 per cent. Also, there is no fee to pay on the financial product. The yardstick applies to HSBC's other two-year and five-year fixed rates at 85 per cent and 90 per cent LTV.

The UK government has announced a mortgage indemnity scheme for first-time buyers as part of a housing strategy, a report said today. The scheme would allow up to 100,000 first-time buyers to buy new-build property with just a 5% deposit. To top it the government would offer security for the loan.   The government and house-builders would provide the security for the loan. The report on Mortgage Strategy, written by Tessa Norman says that the initiative would help the lender recover loss if the property is sold for less than the outstanding mortgage total. The low-fee range includes two-year tracker rates from 3.39% with a £495 fee, and two-year fixed rates from 3.64% with a £495 fee. I'm so glad Nokia has finally launched its first Windows-based mobile phone the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 in India. I think the two Smartphone are priced a bit in the upper bracket but then what Smartphone is not.  According to Nokia the Lumia 800 is priced at about $580 (India Price is Rs.29,371) and the Lumia 710 at $380 (India price is Rs.19,243).
