Top Selling Cell Phone accessories: Review Awesomenesses

No, the best selling cellphone accessories have nothing to do with colorful furious birds, you see. The top accessories are those responsible for making your mobile phone experience convenient, enjoyable and yes, eclectic. Opps. That doesn't include those blasphemous Sony Walkman portable speakers you bought from that funny eBay deal.  Of course, accessories are a matter of taste - if you like it, buy it. But I tell you, I'm a smart phone user, no pun - I'd rather go for experience (read 'helpful') rather than looks or what mobile phone reviews tell me. Therefore, that makes me a no-nonsense, fussy cellphone accessory deal scavenger, basically :) Ask me about cell phone accessories I use: For instance, I like the awesome cool Nokia Purity HD Stereo Headset - not so much for its super sleek design (which of course beats any of those monstrous ladles you call "headsets" in the market these days) but for, say, the qu...

BlackBerry 9700's battery review: The best of all BB's offering?

( A random post on a random thought while I was charging my mobile phone) The battery life of the BlackBerry 9700 is 'legendary' and is often touted by users and reviewers as twice better than any other smartphone. The BlackBberry Curve 8900 and the Bold 9900 are two of the higher-segment models of Research In Motion's (RIM) hi-tech franchise but I have yet to come across any smartphone 9700 users who have genuine complaints about the model's battery. In fact one reviewer even called the BlackBerry 9700's battery as a workhorse and "much much better" than the best iPods.   It is true that one of the best things about the 9700 is its battery - the thing can can still be up and running when you are text-ing, have push-email, WIFI or 3G turned on at all time, according to one reviewer. I'm not sure but one of my friends said the battery in his BB goes on for at least 48hours, while another claimed about 31 hours and so on.  But right now, I haven't...

Titan Water: Titan n120, the Tankless Water Heater

I drink a lot of water - out of tanks and bottles of course. But my girlfriend has bought something (priced $ 230 "cheap"!) which she technically described as a "Titan n120," an apparently amazing Tankless Water Heater. My first thought was "if there's no tank, where do you get the water to heat?'). Opps, Bad call, men will be men. As curious as this Titan water thing was, I decided to find out what can carry no water but has a facility that heats it. Come on, we men are great with cars, fixing them and the stuff but not water and its associated content, for Gosh sake!  Anyway, here's what this "Titan n120" looks like:   So what is this Titan Water thing? Well, as the names suggests the Titan n120 is a tankless water heater unlike the "normal" tank-and-heaters we use at home. I went through the product's manual and it says that the Titan "continually heats water instantaneously". It seems that the Titan is one o...

Vodafone goes hyper: 4G network ready and Andorid tablet

Mobile operator Vodafone seems to be picking up pace these days: The super-fast Vodafone 4G mobile network is being readied for launch, the first country for it being Australia, in 2013. Interestingly the news coincides with Vodafone's Android Tablet, which joined the tablet market as Vodaphone's very own brand device today. Vodafone 4G Network  The recently-launched Samsung Galaxy S3 mobile phone and of course Apple's virtually indomitable iPad "niche" has somehow pushed Vodafone even farther into the corner after the 2010 meltdown. I'm guessing that the company needed new ideas if it was to regain its base. The 4G network seem a good start to commence reclaiming the market it lost in 2010 when the operator lost at least 554,000 customers. The company confirmed today that the schedule for the 4G network organizing would be completed by the end of this year. According to AustraliaIT, Vodafone's new network has already been launched in Western Aust...
