Top Selling Cell Phone accessories: Review Awesomenesses

No, the best selling cellphone accessories have nothing to do with colorful furious birds, you see. The top accessories are those responsible for making your mobile phone experience convenient, enjoyable and yes, eclectic. Opps. That doesn't include those blasphemous Sony Walkman portable speakers you bought from that funny eBay deal.

Of course, accessories are a matter of taste - if you like it, buy it. But I tell you, I'm a smart phone user, no pun - I'd rather go for experience (read 'helpful') rather than looks or what mobile phone reviews tell me. Therefore, that makes me a no-nonsense, fussy cellphone accessory deal scavenger, basically :)

Ask me about cell phone accessories I use: For instance, I like the awesome cool Nokia Purity HD Stereo Headset - not so much for its super sleek design (which of course beats any of those monstrous ladles you call "headsets" in the market these days) but for, say, the quality of the sound.

Or check out the Nokia J Bluetooth headset (oh, yes, Nokia again). Why would you go for them? The answer is obvious, for example: High noise reduction features, HD sound (\m/), everything-is-easy-and-preset-to-use etc unlike Sony Ericsson's lean, ear-skinning, shrilly headsets that shout protest songs against your sense of good bargain.

But that's besides the point. So what are smart cell phone accessory-phone users like me around the world up to? The "top selling" accessories are so, for three basic reasons - usefulness (why not?), performance (of course!) and price (Definitely!).

I scoured some leading online stores and manufacturers' sites that offer cell phone accessories and dug up quite an interesting lot of phone goodies. I admit that although I chose all the phone accessories shown here for their being in 'top-sellers' lists, they also had the highest number of positive users' reviews and high ratings on usability, users' experience, ease of use and functionality. That decided the game. So here is a peek at the top cash register taskmasters.

The Nokia J Bluetooth Headset

Nokia J Bluetooth Headset
Nokia's top selling accessory the Nokia J Bluetooth Headset
The gorgeous, gorgeous Nokia J Bluetooth Headset demolishes the bluetooth accessory judges panel for 2012 with its exclusively user-retentive, super convenient  design - I mean the only thing you have to do, basically, is just pop it into you ear. Done. I mean this makes your mobile phone experience really look good for the reviews. The unique design aids in effortless call handling; automatic volume adjustment when in crowed environment (it's almost ESP!), no buttons or blinking lights to push or press, are some of the basic reasons why the Nokia bluetooth headset is one of the top-selling cell phone accessories this year.

Apple iPhone 4 back case
The TPU Rubber Apple iPhone back cover
The first time I saw this iPhone back cover I couldn't stop OMGting - mega sleek, superbly streamlined and super-duper high quality phone accessory designed specifically with the Apple iPhone (3G 3GS 8GB 16GB 32GB) in mind. iPhone purists may scoff at the black layout, the curvatures and the space age design but the truth is, this cover gives a more tech look to the traditionally bland white image of the iPhone. But the design and looks is besides the point.

The back cover for the iPhone is made of high-quality TPU rubber gel and the surface texture virtually push dusts off the surface and protects your phone from scratches. No wonder this item is one of the hottest selling mobile phone accessories on the web.

PowerGen mobile phone car charger
The PowerGen Dual USB Heavy Duty Output Car Charger
The heavy-duty PowerGen is easily one of the most proficient and reliable car chargers in the market today. The device charges iPads, iPhones, iPods, HTC and Blackberry mobile sets, MP3 Players, digital cameras, PDAs and oh "mobile phones" too! No pun. All one needs is a USB charging cable to charge any USB powered device. With the device, you need not worry about overheating or over current - the charging will automatically stop when the battery is full. Another useful feature the charger has is a small LED display: the charger tells a user whether the charger is properly charging or connected.

The specs are: Input:12-24V 1000mA; Output:DC 5V 2A or 5V 1A (Share 2A when both ports in use). The price of the PowerGen is a approximately around $ 9.99.

Compatible Models:
MP3 players, ipods, iphone 4s, iphone 4s, iphone 3G, Apple iPad, Mobile phones, PDA, GPS, MP4, Portable wifi, Amazon Kindle fire / DX and other kindles.

Cellet "Apple Certified" Car Charger
(for Apple iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 3G/3GS, iPod Touch & Nano)
Apple iPhone Car Charger
The Cellet iPhone car charger
And there is the Cellet car charger, a close competitor to the PowerGen, if you ask me. The charger seem to have quite a substantial number of critical acclaim from customers. I haven't used it but the reviews says I should buy it. You see for yourself. The Cellet claims to be "Apple Certified" which practically implies that iPhone devotees need not feel guilt in buying something that otherwise would pulverize their phone. You decide.

The Cellet boasts of an advanced Blue-LED charging indicator and comes with an extended 6 feet long cord. According to the specifications, the average charging time is 2 hours. The price of this recharger? $5.70. You may now faint.

Samsung Galaxy S3 White Leather Wallet Flip Case Cover
The Samsung Galaxy S3 White Leather Wallet Flip Case Cover
I love, love, love and love this wallet+Samsung Galaxy S3 phone FlipCase. Look at the image: The stylish package for the phone and slip-pockets for your credit cards, smart cards, phone recharge cards and everything-else-cards. The leather holds the phone with elastic straps on the four corners but one can still access the screen and page turn buttons.

Nokia Purity HD Stereo Headset by Monster

The Nokia Purity HD Stereo Headset by Monster. The headset comes in black, white and pink

Nokia Purity HD Stereo Headset is a thing of elegance, beauty and oh brains. The HD stereo is probably the best sound system you can ever get from a phone headset. The unique wide band design, yet uniquely space-age lines makes fro a wonderful head-turner. But the main reason for its popularity is the HD sound. While there are no external sound optimization features (except from your phone of course), the sound is, well, how do I describe it - explicitly impressive. The super-soft ear pads cushions the push of the similarly-cushioned band so you can listen to music as much as you want without blistering your ears.

Fuse Antibacterial Touchscreen Guard

Touchscreen Guard
The Fuse Antibacterial Screen Guard
In 2008, British microbiologist James Francis took a swab of keyboards, a toilet seat and a toilet door handle and found that the keyboards had levels of germs 5 times higher than that found on the toilet seat. In other words, your computer keyboard is dirtier than your toilet. Now check this out: The average touchscreen mobile phone has at least 18 times as many germs.

That is why there are mobile phone 'accessories' like the Fuse Antibacterial Screen Guard. The manufacturers, Fuse, says the screen guard will deter "99 percent" of germs. Fuse has the antibacterial screen guards for the iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPhone 3G and a range for "universal devices."

Your computer went kaput and your girlfriend's pics are all gone? You want your pet fish by your side all the time? Well, here's 'Uncommon' to the rescue. On cell phone 'accessory' that has been hitting the top-selling mobile phone accessories charts is the unusual, uncommon iPhone custom cases (see images). By the way, 'uncommon' is actually the name of the company that manufactures the any-design-you-want custom cases. (See here Examples of Uncommon's unique custom designs)

You have three options to make yourself look taller from the iPhone crowd: (a) Uncommon can create of your custom designs (b) you can sort one from their designs or (c) go for their ready-made custom cases. The designs can be anything so long as it is, well, a design. That means both images and texts - from zebras to lizards, roses to tulips, flags to landscapes, puppies to...oh, yes, photos of your girlfriend. Is that cool or what!

Uncommon offers the service for the iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 3G/3Gs, iPod touch 4th Gen and iPad 2. Just upload a photo of what you want as a design for your phone case (*drum roll*). Uncommon offers it for about $34.95. The best thing is the design won't rub off or peel out because they are not copy-paste-photo-on-case: The design is embedded into the plastic case itself. I want my mommy, my girl, my dog and my smartphone picture on my iPhone!!

The only UC Browser version that works on Samsung Wave 525 (Bada OS)

It's been about 4 years since the Samsung Wave 525 was launched. When it came out in 2010, it was one of the best mid-segment "smartphones" that hit the market. How many momentous, technologically-superior smartphones have come and gone since the Bada OS Wave?  The 525 must now feel like a dinosaur - and it is. In terms of its web browser, the most troublesome dinosaur ever. Prior to using the Samsung Wave, I'd used several other phones and none gave me any problem when using the internet as did the 525.  Browsing experience had never been so much a problem unlike the one the 525 gave me since i bought it three years ago. The various versions of UC Browser , a nifty little mobile browser that was touted to be the "fastest browser" for mobile phones that time, was the choice of wave 525 users. The only problem? In a world where every app and gadget was either android or windows, none worked for Bada OS (Samsung's own operating system). The Sams...
