Motorola India: Defy+ Android mobile phone launched

Rejoice! Motorola has launched its Android full touch-screen phone called Motorola Defy+ for Indian users. The Indian price, at least ex-showroom, is Rs 19,000 for the grabs. The retail India price is Rs. 17,990. The new Motorola mobile phone is full touch-screen and it comes with oodles and oodles of features any Smartphone geek would love. My favorite feature? The G-talk and water-resistant touch-screen.

Among the top features of the Motorola Defy+ is the water-resistant, scratch-resistant and dust proof design, the 1-GHz processor based on the Gingerbread version of Google's Android operating system (Android 2.3).

The Motorola Defy+ asserts to offer faster web-browsing, social networking tools and other entertainment capabilities; a 3.7-inch touch-screen display and 5-megapixel camera and yes, an Adobe Flash 10-enabled browser that allows users to watch movies or view videos on the web browser of the phone. The new Motorola phone supports G-talk, from which you can chat and interact with other people with the help of a mobile internet connection.

Other packages the Motorola Defy+ offers are the 7.1 hours of talk time and a 16-day standby battery life.

Apple unveils App Accelerator for developers

Apple on Friday announced the opening of its App Accelerator in Bengaluru that will provide specialized support for developers to build tools for the iOS platform. Each week, Apple's team will guide developers to design best practices and refine their skills to create iOS apps.
