Nokia Lumia 920: Overview of its Special Features

Nokia Lumia 920 is released and sale date is set for November. The Lumia 920 what the company has called its 'flagship' smart phone has finally been unveiled with big specifications including two new tech called PureView and PureMotion and wireless charging. The biggest market puller the new smart phone from Nokia is this functionality called the sports "Pureview" camera technology. The PureView and PureMotion technology in the Lumia 920 can reduce blurring from hand motion when you take pictures/videos. And the new smartphone has wireless charging capability. How cool is that?

The Nokia Lumia 920 is powered by Qualcomm Inc's Snapdragon processor and according to news portals, the phone has an augmented "reality technology" feature through which users see details of their surroundings through the camera. (See the full specifications of the Nokia Lumia 920 here.)

The Lumia 920 is available in yellow or red and comes with a bigger, brighter 4.5-inch screen and a 8.7 megapixel camera.

Overview of Nokia Lumia 920's special features

The Nokia Lumia 920 is being touted as the most innovative of the the Lumia series with a technology called the "PureView" and Optical Image Stabilization functionality that promises a mobile experience like no other mobile phone has ever offered. Then there is the wireless charging... But more on that later.

In a world of Xperias and Samsung S3s the Lumia 920 had so much to lose and it had had to better come up with a piece of technological ingenuity to beat the market. With PureView and Image Stabilization, the 920 may have hit the mother lode. With the Lumia 920 users are promised
  • High-Definition, blur-free images and videos in any light condition thanks to the PureView technology. the PureMotion HD display will add to that pleasure. PureView, with a Carl Zeiss lens, captures blur-free videos even if the camera is unstable/shaking or in low light.
  • What is Purview? PureView camera technology with Optical Image Stabilization and a Carl Zeiss lens means your pictures and videos are detailed, blur-free and bright, no matter what light conditions you're in. No other cameraphone even comes close. This new Lumia 920 also comes with PrueMotion HD+. A display that is the world's brightest, fastest and most sensitive touchscreen: enough to make every color-clear, and sensitive enough to respond to your fingertips - even when they are covered.
  • The mobile phone maker has claimed that the Nokia Lumia 920's PureMotion HD+ display is the "world’s brightest, fastest and most sensitive touchscreen enough to make every color clear and sensitive enough to respond to your fingertips, even when they are covered up."
  • With its wirless charging functionality, you can charge your Lumia 920 without plugging in. There are no plugs. Just mount the device on its wireless charger and that's it.
  • Wireless charging? Now you can boost your Nokia Lumia’s battery without plugging it in. Nokia Lumia 920 has wireless charging built-in. And you can charge Nokia Lumia 820 wirelessly by adding on a Wireless Charging Shell.

The so-called energy-efficient wireless chargers for the 920 come in various shapes, sizes and colorsto match the taste of users.

Best of all, they're all 'Qi-compatible' - it means you can use any wireless charger you like. And your friends can share yours too.
  • With Windows SkyDrive you can store all yours photos, music and files and even apps are in Sync with your laptop and tablet, In other words you can access all the files from anywhere as they are already synchronized with your device.
  • With the Nokia Lumia 920, you can stream and download unlimited music for free
I think the Nokia Lumia 920 is a mobile device way ahead of its current competitors such as the Samsung S3 and the Sony Xperia series. The selling point would be its advanced imaging technology, namely 'PureView' and of course the one-of-its-kind wireless charging technology.

Nokia's market has been spiraling down the market since Apple, Samsung and Sony began gradually rolling out their high-specs. With the Nokia Lumia 920 I think the company can salvage some of the sales pitch it has been losing in tha face of the Samsungs and Xperias. .

The only UC Browser version that works on Samsung Wave 525 (Bada OS)

It's been about 4 years since the Samsung Wave 525 was launched. When it came out in 2010, it was one of the best mid-segment "smartphones" that hit the market. How many momentous, technologically-superior smartphones have come and gone since the Bada OS Wave?  The 525 must now feel like a dinosaur - and it is. In terms of its web browser, the most troublesome dinosaur ever. Prior to using the Samsung Wave, I'd used several other phones and none gave me any problem when using the internet as did the 525.  Browsing experience had never been so much a problem unlike the one the 525 gave me since i bought it three years ago. The various versions of UC Browser , a nifty little mobile browser that was touted to be the "fastest browser" for mobile phones that time, was the choice of wave 525 users. The only problem? In a world where every app and gadget was either android or windows, none worked for Bada OS (Samsung's own operating system). The Sams...

Overview of Sony Ericsson W995: The Little Walkman

The Sony Ericsson w995 Walkman is a relic from the glorious collaboration of Sony Corp and Ericsson. Yet, the  'Walkman' slider phone, released in 2009, remains one of the most popular mobile phones in the market today. An overview of the phone will give us amble reasons why even mobile phone reviewers still cannot beat the little device down, even in this age of the Xperias and the iPhones. Here is an overview of the  main features and specifications of this hardy little Sony Ericsson flagship phone. Overview: The Sony Ericsson w995 is a "Walkman" Slider phone. When it was released in 2009, the device offered probably three of then-biggest features to mobile phone users - a then-unheard of 8.1 Megapixel camera, 8GB Memory Card and 3G - one of the first pre-3G era phones that came with a 3G network band. My guess on the reasons for the phone's popularity is users' relentless hunger for big MP cameras. Only high-ends such as the Xperias, the Nokia Lumias and...
