UK company makes App that earns you real gold. Seriously!

(Source:mirror.co.uk)

Yes, and this doesn't seem to be one of those earn-gold-online internet scams that earn you a Lamborghini by taking a survey. There's a new mobile app that players can play to earn gold - yes, real gold.

When I read the story on Mirror.UK, I was astounded. I went over to the website of Dig That Gold, the app, and found it was up. However, for android users, you may have to wait for a little while. The app is on for iPhones for now but the little button says its coming for android phone users too.
Here's the news straight from Mirror.UK
A new mobile phone game has been created where players can earn real gold bars delivered to their door.
The free app called Dig That Gold has been released by a UK company and allows players to ‘earn’ real gold rewards.
The real gold, worth up to £700, comes in the form of 24 carat bars
The game’s makers, tech firm Project M, says anyone can earn the bars if they put in the time on the game - an important distinction which means the app does not come under gambling laws.
Office manager Emily Barnett, of Brentwood, Essex, won a gold bar after playing the game for up to three hours a day for a fortnight.
The 22-year-old said: “When it came in the post I was really shocked actually.
“I had read about this game that gives you gold but it seemed too good to be true. I love it and I’m playing for my next one now.”
Here's a grab of the app's image from Dig That Gold's website
Players work through mines trying to collect gold nuggets which you then pan for on your phone or tablet. The more mines you complete the more nuggets you collect.
Depending on how successful you are, the gold bars are sent out in the post in various sizes from 1 gram to 20 grams.
Mike Barrow, who helped develop the game, said: “At Project M studio we’re excited by the challenge of creating a game-changing app.
“As avid gamers we understand the importance of creating fun and engaging experiences for our players.
“We continually strive for creative and technical excellence, but our added drive and excitement is fuelled by our new innovative business model, which is one that is unique in the gaming industry.
“We’re creating player rewards that bridge the virtual and real worlds.”

I use an android so I guess I'll have to wait a bit more. If you have an iPhone, what are you waiting for? It'll be great to hear from you how you do!

The only UC Browser version that works on Samsung Wave 525 (Bada OS)

It's been about 4 years since the Samsung Wave 525 was launched. When it came out in 2010, it was one of the best mid-segment "smartphones" that hit the market. How many momentous, technologically-superior smartphones have come and gone since the Bada OS Wave?  The 525 must now feel like a dinosaur - and it is. In terms of its web browser, the most troublesome dinosaur ever. Prior to using the Samsung Wave, I'd used several other phones and none gave me any problem when using the internet as did the 525.  Browsing experience had never been so much a problem unlike the one the 525 gave me since i bought it three years ago. The various versions of UC Browser , a nifty little mobile browser that was touted to be the "fastest browser" for mobile phones that time, was the choice of wave 525 users. The only problem? In a world where every app and gadget was either android or windows, none worked for Bada OS (Samsung's own operating system). The Sams...

Overview of Sony Ericsson W995: The Little Walkman

The Sony Ericsson w995 Walkman is a relic from the glorious collaboration of Sony Corp and Ericsson. Yet, the  'Walkman' slider phone, released in 2009, remains one of the most popular mobile phones in the market today. An overview of the phone will give us amble reasons why even mobile phone reviewers still cannot beat the little device down, even in this age of the Xperias and the iPhones. Here is an overview of the  main features and specifications of this hardy little Sony Ericsson flagship phone. Overview: The Sony Ericsson w995 is a "Walkman" Slider phone. When it was released in 2009, the device offered probably three of then-biggest features to mobile phone users - a then-unheard of 8.1 Megapixel camera, 8GB Memory Card and 3G - one of the first pre-3G era phones that came with a 3G network band. My guess on the reasons for the phone's popularity is users' relentless hunger for big MP cameras. Only high-ends such as the Xperias, the Nokia Lumias and...
