Big flash sale for LeEco's Le 2 smartphone on July 12

The third flash sale for Le 2 smartphone on Flipkart and LeMall.com, LeEco's own marketplace e-commerce platform, is on July 12, the global Internet and technology conglomerate LeEco said on Monday.

“We are extremely overjoyed with the response that we have got from the Le 2 and Le Max2 devices. We would continue to delight the Indian users with our superphones and offers in the future too,” said Atul Jain, Chief Operating Officer, Smart Electronics Business, LeEco India, in a statement.

Le 2 comes with 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. It is also equipped with PDAF (phase detection auto focus) feature that enables fast focusing on the image.

The screen's blue light filter also helps reduce eye fatigue.

The phone also offers a 5.5-inch Full HD display and weighs 153 gram.

The Rs 11,999 Le 2 and Rs 22,999 Le Max 2 come with a unique USB Type-C audio port featuring CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) standard that has made the traditional 3.5 mm audio jack redundant.

Le 2 features an In-Cell display screen which allow mobile devices to be thinner and lighter.

The LeEco LeMax 2. Yes, looks a bit like the iPhone but isn't it still gorgeous?

The customers who have bought Le 2 at the flash sale on Flipkart will also get double data offer from Vodafone.

The customers will also get a CDLA headset worth Rs 1,990 for free.

The sale seems to be connected to LeEco latest push to take the subcontinent’s big mobile phone market. Chinese internet and technology conglomerate LeEco had on Monday also announced that it has hired top Qualcomm executive Jaiteerth Patwari as Research and

Development Head for LeMall, the company's online shopping site in the country.

Patwari worked with mobile processor supplier Qualcomm for 14 years and will now set up and head the development centre at LeMall India.

"We are very delighted to bring Jaiteerth on board, who will bring with him a wealth of experience which we're sure will be fruitful for us in our India journey," said Atul Jain, COO of Smart Electronics Business, LeEco India, in a statement.

"I am thrilled to join the LeEco family at such a critical junction of its growth journey in India. In the next couple of months, we will look at aggressively scaling up operations for LeMall in India," added Patwari.

LeMall R&D is looking to hire 50 more engineers to build highly scalable distributed e-commerce platform.

The only UC Browser version that works on Samsung Wave 525 (Bada OS)

It's been about 4 years since the Samsung Wave 525 was launched. When it came out in 2010, it was one of the best mid-segment "smartphones" that hit the market. How many momentous, technologically-superior smartphones have come and gone since the Bada OS Wave?  The 525 must now feel like a dinosaur - and it is. In terms of its web browser, the most troublesome dinosaur ever. Prior to using the Samsung Wave, I'd used several other phones and none gave me any problem when using the internet as did the 525.  Browsing experience had never been so much a problem unlike the one the 525 gave me since i bought it three years ago. The various versions of UC Browser , a nifty little mobile browser that was touted to be the "fastest browser" for mobile phones that time, was the choice of wave 525 users. The only problem? In a world where every app and gadget was either android or windows, none worked for Bada OS (Samsung's own operating system). The Sams...

Overview of Sony Ericsson W995: The Little Walkman

The Sony Ericsson w995 Walkman is a relic from the glorious collaboration of Sony Corp and Ericsson. Yet, the  'Walkman' slider phone, released in 2009, remains one of the most popular mobile phones in the market today. An overview of the phone will give us amble reasons why even mobile phone reviewers still cannot beat the little device down, even in this age of the Xperias and the iPhones. Here is an overview of the  main features and specifications of this hardy little Sony Ericsson flagship phone. Overview: The Sony Ericsson w995 is a "Walkman" Slider phone. When it was released in 2009, the device offered probably three of then-biggest features to mobile phone users - a then-unheard of 8.1 Megapixel camera, 8GB Memory Card and 3G - one of the first pre-3G era phones that came with a 3G network band. My guess on the reasons for the phone's popularity is users' relentless hunger for big MP cameras. Only high-ends such as the Xperias, the Nokia Lumias and...
