Xperia Z2: The Smartphone with the “world’s best” camera and battery?

The soon-to-be-released-worldwide Xperia Z2 from Sony Mobile is being touted increasingly as the android Smartphone you ought to get your hands on.  While I am aware that marketers have great PR teams that make ugly, and “dumb” mobile devices look like they were the best thing that happened to technology. In this case, though, I’m really interested in Sony’s latest android device. For starters, it comes with the right features – and by ‘right’, I mean it has got three of what every phone user wants in his device – super HD and anti-blur imaging, superfast processor and long battery life.  Sony unabashedly claims that the Xperia Z2 is the “world’s best camera and camcorder in a waterproof Smartphone.”  The Xperia Z2's a real beauty if you consider its skin Price The android device is expected to be released May, 2014 – this month. And what is its price? UK Price: £545 approximately (without contract) US Price: $ 600 approximat...

Sony Xperia Z2 to zing with new Michael Jackson album 'Xscape'

Alright, I’m not sure if you are a fire starter on the dance floor but Sony is offering an entire music compilation comprising Michael Jackson’s previously-unreleased works, with the mobile giant’s new Android mobile device, the Xperia Z2. The Xperia Z2 is no big a price if you are into performance-driven specifications. For instance, with superior imaging and photography features, strong, super-fast performance and a substantially potent battery life, the device is being touted to be one of the best in the recent times. No wonder, the mobile company is pushing its retails with the late pop superstar’s new album . Sony Mobile is offering Michael Jackson's album 'Xscape' free with the Xperia Z2 Besides the Z2, Sony Mobile customers of the Xperia Z2 tablet and the Xperia M2 will be able to download the new album (free) through the Xperia Lounge app. I checked out Sony Mobile and they mentioned the following clause as one of the conditions for mobil...

Google's Nexus 5: Check out these photos

Google has unveiled its latest android smartphone Nexus 5 and if the images are anything it looks pretty dainty. Just a small piece of advice though: If you are into brands, buy the Nexus 5 (developed with LG). If you are into brains go for Samsung S3 - or keep your Nexus 4, or your trusty iPhone 4 (see price list of Nexus 5: US, UK and India prices below). Also, you have good odds on your old inbuilt RAMs than the SD cards (Shock! Yes, SD cards - those things from the Jurassic park!) Google's android devices love to have. Nonetheless, the smartphone looks quite pretty and sleek. Check out the Nexus 5's looks. The Nexus 5 looks pretty but I think I'll stick with the Nexus 4. The camera is still 8 MP.  The new smartphone comes in black and white and costs $ 349 for a 16GB unlocked version or $399 for 32GB. One consolation though, is that the Nexus 5 is way cheaper than Apple's new iPhones . For example, the iPhone 5c, the cheaper of the two new iPhone...

Samsung Galaxy S4: Introducing another iPhone competitor

Samsung Electronics is ready to take on the iPhones of the world. The features-rich Samsung Galaxy S4 was unveiled in New York’s Radio City Music Hall earlier and, naturally, one of the most anticipated smartphone devices ever since...um...uh...the iPhone 5 is  ready to hit the mobile market. My sources say that the android device is run on Exynos 5 Octa Processor - that's one bit almost faster than the iPhone 5 - and if the system is anything to consider its potential in the market, Asia is already mighty agog. The device would be released probably simultaneously in the UK and India in April as well, according to reports. So what is all the ado about this newcomer from the Samsung Galaxy stable? In the first place the S4 comes with a display of 4.99” 16M-color Super AMOLED HD capacitive touchscreen. The resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels (441ppi). That's slightly smaller than the Samsung Galaxy SIII but with a bigger and brighter screen. Here it is, isn't it good lookin...

Xperia z: Sony Specs up the phone cam fight

(Also, see the Xperia Z's price and date for release here) There is something cool about the imagining/video tech in Sony Mobile's latest smartphone device the Xperia Z. The thing is, I could be biased because I am still a huge Sony Ericsson fan and that inspiration has stayed with me even after SE went off the market.  Anyhow, fan or not, I feel the Xperia Z is probably one of the best of the Xperia stable. There are quite a number of features I believe you'll really think are awesome. What is so cool about the bit? Is it the super-sharp HD display or the indisputably cool image-sensing technology called the 'Exmor RS' - claimed to be the "world's first image sensor for smartphones" - which the phone maker has incorporated as its flagship imaging functionality. Or is it the 'highest' water-resistant build of the Xperia Z that is the selling point?  For all I know, it is not one feature but a combination of all of them that makes Xper...

Sony Xperia V: Top Features...and Water Resistent!

Remember the time you took your beloved cell phone to the bathroom and it went for a swim? You may want to check out Sony Mobile's latest member of the Xperia family - the super fast LTE HD Xperia V smartphone. Sony claims the latest generation 1.5 GHz Qualcomm mobile device is water-resistant . Just the perfect phone that's so smart t can even swim - virtually I mean. No, the phone doesn't come with fins.   The full-HD Xperia V is probably one of the fastest models from the Sony stable. The latest generation Snapdragon S4 dual core 1.5 GHz processor takes the multimedia user's experience a notch higher. What the device assures you is a "flowing" streaming functionality for videos, app downloads all with the speed of an LTE mobile device. I'm not sure this has anything to do with swimming but don't worry we'll come to that. Let's check out it main features.  120 g 4.2 ounces 129 x 65 x 10.7 mm 5.1 x 2.6 x 0.4 inches Talk time (...

Nokia Lumia 822 Verizon: Full Specs and the interesting features

Nokia's Lumia 822 (Verizon) is being touted as the "most versatile Lumia" model till date. I'm not really sure how much longer would the Lumia series hold up against the current market wave of iPhone 5 or the even 'slightly strong market opponents' such as the Samsung SIII (or Samsung S3) models or the Sony Xperia mobile phone series. Nonetheless, I have no doubt Nokia came up with an interesting hit with the Nokia Lumia.  The company continues to feed on this hit by listing out endless Lumias. Just like Sony Mobile is doing with its endless Xperia this and Xperia that.  The Lumia 800, Lumia 900 and Lumia 920 are quite popular devices (iPhone 5 remains the boss though) and I think the cell phone touts at the mobile device makers have another fairly big hit in the form of the Verizon Lumia 822 - a moderate, mid-high segment mobile device that is scheduled to hit the US and Asian markets (especially India, probably the biggest mobile phone market on the As...
