Xperia Z2: The Smartphone with the “world’s best” camera and battery?

The soon-to-be-released-worldwide Xperia Z2 from Sony Mobile is being touted increasingly as the android Smartphone you ought to get your hands on.

While I am aware that marketers have great PR teams that make ugly, and “dumb” mobile devices look like they were the best thing that happened to technology. In this case, though, I’m really interested in Sony’s latest android device.

For starters, it comes with the right features – and by ‘right’, I mean it has got three of what every phone user wants in his device – super HD and anti-blur imaging, superfast processor and long battery life.

Sony unabashedly claims that the Xperia Z2 is the “world’s best camera and camcorder in a waterproof Smartphone.”

Price

The android device is expected to be released May, 2014 – this month. And what is its price?

UK Price: £545 approximately (without contract)

US Price: $ 600 approximately (without contract)

India Price: 32, 841 approximately (without contract)

So now, let’s check out the Xperia Z2’s imaging and recording capabilities

So fast, you phone’s gonna wait for ya

According to Sony, the device’s quad processors work so fast” that “it’ll have to wait for you” because it comes with hard wired Lag-free UI. That also means you have Stutter-free browsing, and zero loading time. To top the performance of it all, there is an “outstanding battery life” supporting you.

Here is what Sony Mobile says in its Market Pitch: “We’ve matched the latest Sony software with the all-new, ultra-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. This advanced Quad-core processor is 75% faster than the S4 Pro and gives you maximum power and speed with outstanding battery time – run multiple apps simultaneously, surf the web with little loading time and stream videos without a break. The asynchronous processor makes sure that each core is powered independently. So you get the precise amount of power when you need it, without wasting power when you don’t.”

Improved battery life

I have a Samsung Grand. By the time I have watched three music videos, and listened to a track list, I’m already looking for the charger. Could the Xperia Z2 offer me something more than just allotting me a trip to the socket after every one minute conversation? Smartphones use a lot of power, even when you’re not using them. For instance, apps running in the background drain your batter life even when you aren’t using them.

For a change, the new Sony promises what the phone makers call the “Battery STAMINA mode.” The BSM in the Xperia Z2 recognizes when you’re not using your display and automatically turns off the functions you don’t need, while keeping the notifications you want. As soon as you press the power button to wake up your screen, everything is up and running again.

Diamond Images, optimum video tech recording
20.7 MP, 4K Camcorder

Android Smartphone Xperia Z2 from Sony Mobile
Fast, lag-free, graphic drivers to make your movie experience real, Sony says
I’m an amateur photography enthusiast; I love photography – even if it were just with a cell phone. What the new Xperia promises might just add one notch to my passion for photography. The android device comes with a 4K camcorder and a 20.7 MP camera, combined in a Smartphone. It has a plumb 20.7 Megapixels camera and a sensor that’s 30% larger than most smart phones in the market have.

In other words, more pixels and large sensors equal amazing, "supersharp" and “supercrisp” images. With a megapixel count of 20.7 and a sensor that’s 30% larger than the standard smartphone, the Xperia Z2 Android phone is on a par with other compact digital cameras in the market. By all count, you can watch videos that are several times sharper than Full HD and record in world class 4K video.

I really haven’t decided, but I just might go to the Z2 – if it delivers.

The only UC Browser version that works on Samsung Wave 525 (Bada OS)

It's been about 4 years since the Samsung Wave 525 was launched. When it came out in 2010, it was one of the best mid-segment "smartphones" that hit the market. How many momentous, technologically-superior smartphones have come and gone since the Bada OS Wave?  The 525 must now feel like a dinosaur - and it is. In terms of its web browser, the most troublesome dinosaur ever. Prior to using the Samsung Wave, I'd used several other phones and none gave me any problem when using the internet as did the 525.  Browsing experience had never been so much a problem unlike the one the 525 gave me since i bought it three years ago. The various versions of UC Browser , a nifty little mobile browser that was touted to be the "fastest browser" for mobile phones that time, was the choice of wave 525 users. The only problem? In a world where every app and gadget was either android or windows, none worked for Bada OS (Samsung's own operating system). The Sams...

Overview of Sony Ericsson W995: The Little Walkman

The Sony Ericsson w995 Walkman is a relic from the glorious collaboration of Sony Corp and Ericsson. Yet, the  'Walkman' slider phone, released in 2009, remains one of the most popular mobile phones in the market today. An overview of the phone will give us amble reasons why even mobile phone reviewers still cannot beat the little device down, even in this age of the Xperias and the iPhones. Here is an overview of the  main features and specifications of this hardy little Sony Ericsson flagship phone. Overview: The Sony Ericsson w995 is a "Walkman" Slider phone. When it was released in 2009, the device offered probably three of then-biggest features to mobile phone users - a then-unheard of 8.1 Megapixel camera, 8GB Memory Card and 3G - one of the first pre-3G era phones that came with a 3G network band. My guess on the reasons for the phone's popularity is users' relentless hunger for big MP cameras. Only high-ends such as the Xperias, the Nokia Lumias and...
